Circle of Dreams

Yes, it has been two years since my last post as my path has been full. Since posting I have worked internationally in Asia for two years while at the same time working on my second degree in Textile Design with honors, at the Academy of Art University, and raising my 18 year old model daughter. These circles of creativity have led me to meeting new people and living experiences unexpected. Posting on my favorite makeup blogs and Facebook generates such joy. I will mirror this in my own blog without hesitation or delay!

Today and everyday, I am grateful!

Bittersweet day spent getting my only child Mary ready for a month long modeling assignment in LA. We spent the day planning a budget, clothes, shoes and makeup shopping. Then we celebrated her future at Cheesecake Factory. I have to admit, I feel empty nest "iti"s," big time and did shed a tear or two, or three. My wonderful daughter told me of an app to get for my IPhone that could help me cope called "Grattitude." What is cool about that, is that after writing 5 things each day I am grateful for, I can email it with pictures to my friends. So today I am grateful for the heart-to-heart talk with my daughter, that gives me great confidence that she makes positive and wise decisions on her own!

Welcome to my BLOG!

I am so excited to finally have my very own blog! I want to thank Barb of YStudio Photography who helped me launch this blog and who I consider my favorite photographers Barb & Wayne.

Why did it take so long? I work two jobs full time, makeup artist and hairdresser as well as an eco-friendly green fashion and jewelry designer. Oh and I am also attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I am getting my second major in textile/jewelry design.

I am also keeping up with my Supermodel daughter Mary, who will be modeling this coming month in Los Angeles. She is so good at keeping calm in my moments of despair, we are close, and although I want her to go large in this industry, I will miss my little girl.

This blog will hopefully connect me to YOU as well, my clients, friends, peers and fans! I look forward to posting on a regular basis, but if I can't just know, I am NOT just sitting around.....change has definitely come and this is going to be OUR YEAR!
